This small, liberal arts college in Lexington, Virginia focuses on teaching students inside and outside of the classroom. A small school of 2,264 students, Washington and Lee University provides an excellent academic experience throughout their extensive resources and commitment to innovative teaching and interdisciplinary learning. In the I.Q. center, students are able to work first-hand with sophisticated imaging and computational instruments rarely available to undergraduate students. Other unique educational experiences include the Roger Mudd Center for Ethics, Shepard Poverty Program (provides coursework and service opportunities in societal issues associated with poverty), The Venture Club (entrepreneur mentorship), the Washington Team (provides a chance to spend 6-weeks as an intern on Capitol hill.
