Message from the Executive Director
Since 1999, Arkansas Commitment has provided free supplemental counseling to students within the Central Arkansas Area. Our goal is to equip the students of Little Rock with the leadership skills, the academic prowess, and the exposure to institutions of higher learning to ensure a successful transition from high school to college.
In addition to college counseling from 9th-12th grades, students within our program will receive free College Essay Writing Workshops, Academic Tutors, College Tours, as well as semester-long ACT prep classes provided by Huntington Learning Center.
The Class of 2018 consisted of 30 students from 12 different high schools, a National Merit Scholar, 3 Valedictorians, musicians, student body presidents, dancers, athletes, and artists. With our intentional cultivation of the well-rounded student, 100% of the members within our 2018 senior cohort matriculated to college while receiving over $9.3 million in merit-based scholarships, need-based aid and outside scholarships. Since 2010, our students have amassed $31.3 million dollars in scholarships and grants.
Whether you’re a student looking for extra support or a college representative looking for the perfect student for your institution, Arkansas Commitment can help you reach your goal.
