Arkansas Commitment is an intensive Central Arkansas-based college preparation program that assists high-achieving African-American students by offering free supplemental counseling to ensure a seamless transition from high school to college.
We are committed to dismantling barriers that hinder access to higher education, firmly believing that every student deserves the opportunity to attend America’s best colleges. Our proven strategy centers around our ACE Core Pathway©, a holistic, data-driven approach to college counseling with a proven track record of helping our scholars decode confusing deadlines, select the classes colleges expect, and craft powerful essays that will position our scholars to get accepted to America's most prestigious institutions!

OUR SERVICES
Our wrap-around approach enables a more comprehensive evaluation, allowing students to showcase their unique strengths and potential beyond just test scores or grades. By valuing diverse experiences and achievements, Arkansas Commitment increases opportunities for underrepresented students to gain admission to college.
Through engaging symposiums, college tours & information sessions, monthly workshops, and college preparation resources, our members are encouraged to broaden their horizons and explore colleges beyond their backyard. On average, each 40-member cohort receives over 120 acceptance letters from institutions across America, opening doors to diverse academic and career experiences for our alumni.
Arkansas Commitment employs a comprehensive approach to guide students into college, offering mentorship, academic support, and leadership training throughout their educational journey. Through personalized counseling and access to resources, they empower students to navigate the college admissions process successfully and pursue higher education opportunities.

Our application involves a thorough evaluation of students' academic achievements, extracurricular involvement, and personal qualities through an online application.
Prospective participants undergo a rigorous selection process to ensure that those chosen are committed to academic excellence, leadership development, and community engagement.
